This Is Ska Festival 2014

Finally I had the time to finish editing some more shots from the This Is Ska Festival 2014 in Roßlau, Germany. I already uploaded one picture of every band on Facebook (klick here to get there) a couple of weeks ago. But today I wanna share the rest of the images that seem to me worth posting.

Just to say a few words about the festival itself... It's been awesome as f***! Once again the organizers have put together a lineup full of incredibly good bands. To hear so many awesome tunes in this really lovely location made it really hard for me to focus on getting the shots I wanted. Many times I just found myself within the crowd skanking around like there was no tomorrow. If you`ve never been to this festival before and you are somehow into ska music and related genres you definitely want to consider giving it a try next year. Believe me!

So here we go with the pictures I took on Friday, the first day of the festival. These shots show the following bands in order of appearance: Hörinfarkt, Rude & the Lickshots, La bolonchona, The Slackers, The Hotknives, Roy Panton & Yvonne Harrison backed by The Easy Snappers and The Busters. My personal favorite was The Slackers from NYC. Love these guys...

The second day started off with some Jamaican BBQ action before the first band rocked the stage. Of course, I captured that as well. The Saturday-shots include pictures of the following bands in order of appearance: Bluekilla, The Unlimiters, The Offenders, Big Mandrake, The Toasters, Boss Capone, Buster Shuffle, The Tenors backed by The Magic Touch and El Bosso & Die Ping Pongs. I really can't tell what my favorite performance of that day was. I guess, they all were pretty amazing.

So guys... Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my pictures. That definitely means a lot to me . If you've got little teardrops in your eyes by now because you missed this spectacular weekend in Roßlau, don't hate yourself for too long. Just make sure never to make this mistake again ;)

And if you can't wait until next year before you get some decent ska action, consider stopping by at the Dynamite Ska Festival 2014 on November 1st in Leipzig, Germany. This year on stage: Roy Ellis aka. Mr. Symarip, The Aggrolites, Mark Foggo and many more. See you there!

So long! All the best and take care,
